Current Sculpture Projects
PI am often working on a couple projects at a time I try to get them done in a timely manner. I have so many ideas that I am often have 12 ideas in the que while on a project I thought of a while back.

Crytine Wasp
I'm working on a Cryptinae Wasp to submit it to the Edmonds Art Fair. It is a mixed media sculpture using wire for the suporting frame, clay for sections of its body, and mulberry paper for the rest of the body. It will be hollow on the inside so that I can insert an LED light strip to allow it to glow.
-The sculpture is half complete at the moment. I think I will have it done within the next two weeks, in time for submission.
A cryptinae is a subfamily of wasps that are parasitoid. They infect there host creature, usually another insect with their eggs. Their young then proceed to eat the host from the inside out.

Leaf Bug-Hate speech series #0
This sculpture is of a leaf bug. A Pulchriphyllium giganteum (Malasian leaf bug). This sculpture is made of a copper wire frame that supports a mulberry paper shell. I intend to write graffiti style words illustrating negative opinions that people tend to have about insects generally. I decided to start with a leaf bug, precisely because i don't think people generally have a negative opinion about this particular insect. In fact, I think most people find them cute. This makes it a good candidate for people to reevaluate their general opinions they slap on all insects. Be warned the rest of the insects in this series may not but so cuddly. I intend to do insects people revile, and force people to confront their bias.
